The flange sound has been with music throughout the ages - used on everything from vocals to drums, but a guitarist you might have heard of (Edward Van Halen) showed us the only righteous place for flange is guitar! We've combined a classic tape flange with the awesome TonePrint technology, giving you access to everything from through-zero flanges to customized rockstar sounds!
We haven't seen your pedalboard or anything, but our guess is it's pretty full. We're guitarists after all and we live for gear. So, we've built all that is great about the original Vortex Flanger into a mini form factor so there's room for killer flange sounds no matter what your board looks like.
TonePrint - Signature Effects
Vortex Mini Flanger is TonePrint enabled. This means you get the revered TC sound multiplied to infinity with rockstar-customized versions of the best flange sounds known to guitarkind- free of charge!
If we didn't know any better Vortex Mini Flanger could just as well be a time machine with all the diverse sounds it holds. You want a nice vintage vibed tape flange? It's there! You want a roaring 747 Jet-Flange, or maybe a nice modern hi-fi swirl? Yes, you guessed it, it's there! Due to our proprietary TonePrint technology, the sonic potential of this tiny beast is basically endless. So let your imagination run wild and go create flange awesomeness.
True to Tone
You love tone, so do we, and our design philosophy testifies to that. So whatever route you wanna go, we got your back. With optimized headroom, True Bypass and even Kill-Dry on/off via our TonePrint Editor, this pedal guarantees optimal tonal integrity and zero loss of tone. And, no matter if the pedal is on or off your precious dry sound is always passed through the pedal unharmed in all it's pure analog glory due to an Analog-Dry-Through design.
Backstage Pass - All Access
From Mach- 3 jet sounds to psychedelic tape flanging, this pedal hangs with the best of them, with a ‘must-have’ form factor and killer tones! Oh, it does fantastic 'through zero' sounds too!
Vortex Mini Flanger has an ultra-small footprint – it will fit on any pedal board, even yours!
You guessed it – this determines the speed of the effected signal. Slow speeds will enhance the jet–like qualities of the effect.
Keeps your tone YOURS. We never convert the dry signal, so you’ll always shine through with zero latency and total tonal transparency.
All Signals Go
Works equally awesome with guitar and line level/FX Loop signals.

Starting with the Ultimate Speaker Demo, an ever-increasing number of the GearTunes audio clips are being tracked using the Radial JCR Reamp. The Reamp was invented by my good friend and colleague John Cuniberti who engineered/co-produced many of Joe Satriani's most infamous recordings.
For GearTunes, reamping allows me to record a track where the guitar "hears" the amp in the room, but initially only the guitar or guitar and effects signal is recorded. This allows me to spend additional time perfecting amp tones and mic placement once I have the performance I'm looking for. One of the byproducts of this process is the creation of GearTunes DI Clips which enable you to play select guitars and effects through your amp by using your mobile device or computer as a reamp device.
For GearTunes DI Clips - and Gear Tune DI Clips ONLY (always found under the DI clips tab for gear that has one), you can play our guitar and effects through your amp. Simply use an unbalanced cable that terminates with an 1/8th inch jack on one end and a 1/4 inch jack on the other. Connect the 1/8th jack to the output of your mobile device or computer and the 1/4 inch jack into the front of your amp. Start off with your amp volume at zero and your mobile device (or computer) volume all the way up to ensure you hit the front end of the amp with enough signal, and then gradually increase the volume of the clean channel on your amp until you reach a level that is not capable of causing damage to your ears or equipment. GearTunes accepts no liability for the use, abuse or misuse of these clips, and playing them into your amp is done exclusively at your own risk.
I am tremendously excited about being able to share GearTunes DI Clips with you as you journey on your quest to find right gear for the music you play! Cheers ~ Doug:)
